5-week program to go through each component of Ashtanga Primary Series. Ashtanga is a very dynamic and athletic form of hatha yoga, made up of six series, with a fixed order of postures. It is rooted in vinyasa, the flowing movements between postures, with a focus on energy and breath. While it is a very physical practice, it also promotes mental clarity and inner peace. We will break down the primary series that is 90mins full practice into 5 weeks for 45mins each class. We will practice each section repetitively so our body can build the muscle memory. Because Ashtanga is a set of same poses, once you learn the sequence, you can truly focus on your breath and mind. That is why some people practice it as ‘moving meditation’. This program is consisted of 5 recorded classes from live classes we did every Wednesday at 6:15am(pst).
